# Earning yield

> Compare yields, review a supported USDC deposit and withdraw back to your account.

Open [Yield Copilot](https://useotto.xyz/mini-agents/yield-copilot) to compare stablecoin opportunities. Browsing does not move funds. APY varies, and a high rate or a place in the results does not guarantee safety, returns or an executable deposit.

## Available venues

Follow the availability message on the page. If deposits are not open, account setup is unavailable or no eligible vault can be quoted, keep browsing without funding an account. The yield suggestion in the legacy dashboard is also a comparison tool; it cannot deposit.

## Prepare your account

1. Choose an eligible vault and open its review controls.
2. Sign in to [Your account](https://useotto.xyz/app?view=account) with Coinbase email sign-in. Verify the displayed **Base** address. This is separate from a connected wallet or legacy Safe.
3. Review the [permission](https://useotto.xyz/app/delegate), its expiry and swap/deposit limit. Otto submits supported actions under that permission. The limit applies per swap or deposit; it is not a daily or total budget, and withdrawals do not use that dollar cap.
4. Only when the action is available, add native **USDC on Base** and enough **ETH on Base** for network fees to that account. Signing in, setting permission and funding do not make a deposit.

## Make a deposit

Enter the USDC amount and select **Review deposit**. Check the vault, account, expected shares, quoted fees and gas before **Confirm deposit**. An expired or unavailable quote needs a fresh review.

Wait for the confirmed result, then refresh the position. If the result is unknown, use the saved transaction record and [receipt checks](/managing-transactions/transaction-history) before starting again. An unreadable balance or uncertain result does not mean nothing happened.

## Withdraw and move funds out

Where offered, select **Review withdrawal**, check the expected USDC and fees, then confirm. Withdrawal depends on the vault's liquidity, service availability and a permission that includes withdrawals. If your permission does not include them, review a new permission first.

The withdrawal returns USDC to the **same Coinbase account**, not an external wallet. Verify the returned balance. To send it elsewhere, follow [Moving Funds Out](/account-and-settings/removing-funds) for stopping permission, resolving activity and reviewing a separate transfer.

Stopping permission does not redeem a vault or move assets. These are individual actions; Yield Copilot does not automatically rebalance positions or send alerts.
