# Moving Funds Out

> How to move funds out of your Otto wallet today, and what happens to idle balances.

Your funds are safe and they are yours. This page explains how to move them out today, and what happens to a balance you just leave sitting.

<Note>
  **Your Otto wallet address is stable and deterministic.** It's a smart account derived from your sign-in — the address doesn't change, and your balance stays put regardless of interface changes.
</Note>

## How custody works today

Your Otto Safe is **agent-custodial** — an Otto-managed key signs execution. On the current one-shot withdrawal path, the **destination is always your own connected wallet (your EOA)** — it can't be redirected somewhere else. For how custody works across Otto's surfaces, see [Your Safe Account & Custody](/introduction/safe7579-architecture).

## Moving funds out

### If you use an external / connected wallet (MetaMask, Rabby, hardware)

Nothing is held by Otto — it only ever connected to your wallet. Move funds directly from your own wallet app, or see [Sending Assets](/using-otto-ai/sending-assets).

### If you have a balance in your Otto Safe

In [`/app`](https://useotto.xyz/app), the **Withdraw** panel shows your available balance and a withdrawal whose destination is **always your own connected wallet (your EOA) — it can't be redirected**.

**To move funds out today, contact support and we'll do it with you, directly:**

* **Telegram:** [t.me/useOttoAI](https://t.me/useOttoAI)
* **Email:** [support@useotto.xyz](mailto:support@useotto.xyz)

We're a small team and handle these hands-on. Tell us your sign-in wallet and the amount, and we'll walk the withdrawal through to your EOA.

### Balances you leave sitting

A balance you don't move is **safe and untouched**. Because your Otto wallet address is stable and deterministic, funds remain in place — nothing expires, and no interface change touches what's on-chain.

For how Otto holds funds across its surfaces, see [Your Safe Account & Custody](/introduction/safe7579-architecture) and the [Web3 Operating Manual](/using-otto-ai/web3-operating-manual).

## Recovering access

Lost access to your account, or coming back after the V1 → V2 update? Your wallet and balances are intact — see [Accessing Your Account After the V1 Update](/support-and-feedback/accessing-your-v1-account).

## Other rails

Funds you moved onto a specific venue are withdrawn through that venue's own flow:

* **Hyperliquid** — withdraw through the Hyperliquid funding flow.
* **Polymarket** — use the Prediction Markets deposit/withdrawal flow.
* **Otto X** — use the sub-wallet escape path in the [Otto X Storefront](/acp-swarm/otto-x).
